[Overview] [Finding a Hospital] [Understanding Search Results] [My Hospitals] [Viewing Hospital Details] [Comparing Hospitals]
Adding hospitals to your list of My Hospitals allows you to compare their scores on various quality measures to each other and to the state average; it also lets you switch easily among their individual profile pages.
The next several figures show the My Hospitals box in its various possible states. Figure 14 shows My Hospitals in its initial state, with no hospitals added.

- This explanation refers to the green "add hospital" images that appear on search results pages next to the names of hospitals that are not already on your list of My Hospitals.
- After you add hospitals to your list, the "remove" image appears inside the My Hospitals box next to each hospital name, allowing you to remove individual hospitals from your list.
- Click on the question mark symbol to view helpful information about My Hospitals.
- The My Hospitals box can be collapsed, to hide the contents, or expanded, to show the contents. It is expanded by default. If your list of My Hospitals gets very long, you may wish to click on the minus sign to collapse the box, hiding the contents and showing a brief summary instead. (In the empty state, as shown, there is no difference between the collapsed and expanded states, apart from showing a plus versus a minus sign in the corner of the box.)
- A status message appears to let you know that you do not have any hospitals on your list.
