Quality Measures
A hospital's overall quality cannot be expressed by its scores on these measures alone. Indicators do not currently exist to measure how well hospitals treat every type of illness or patient that they care for, although additional measures are under development. To learn more read About Hospital Quality.
Notes:
2. Measure reflects the hospital's indication that its submission was based on a sample of its relevant discharges.
(r) = hospitals participating in the HQA are required by CMS to report this measure
(v) = measure is reported voluntarily by hospital
Only required measures are counted in composite scores
Measures with fewer than 25 cases are not shown
